2015 f150 samsung stereo upgrade4/6/2024 ![]() ![]() Harness matched perfect to my touchscreen with Navigation OEM unit. Kicker DSP multichannel amp from the 2013-2014 VSS kit from Rogel Ford. I know there are other thread and did not want to post this on those threads. Those of you in the industry that happen to be attending the Spring MERA show, we have a truck there with this gear installed. 2015 F-150 Lariat Non-Sony stereo upgrade. A couple forum members will be receiving sample kits early next week and I will leave it to them to post reviews and first impressions. Here are some actual pictures and screen shots. To connect these, you simply connect the wires from your radio to the back of the port and plug your device into the front. The kit is stunning with exact match factory controls, radio placement high in the dash, and a cool pocket with USB, HDMI and 3.5mm ports flush mounted into it. In addition, you can operate your climate control using BOTH the controls in the dash kit and the on-screen climate control buttons. When you use it with a Kenwood or Alpine compatible radio you also get performance gauges, tire pressure monitoring, check and reset engine codes, and back up camera/visual parking assist. When you use it with a Pioneer compatible radio ( ) you get the above plus the retention of Sync for calling and as an additional USB port/media player. When used with a non-iDatalink compatible radio, you cannot retain Sync, but you can retain steering wheel controls and back up camera (if camera image shown on 4.3 inch screen). This solution can be used with any 2DIN radio (and 1DIN too, but we don't provide any way to close up the other half of the hole). 1) component speakers, run the door speaker off the existing wiring, wire the tweeter with the crossover with the factory tweeter power as the crossover input. I think you'll see more bang for your buck with speaker upgrade alone, than a new head unit and sub even. Put money into the speaker budget and leave the current Ford head unit, and a small sub. New head unit may help the sound a bit, but again more power to bad speakers, not going to do much. Add an amplifier and you'll more than likely destroy them with no sound benefit. I'm no longer into rattling the neighbors windows, just looking to fill in the lows so I hope it will be enough. I personally went with a smaller powered sub as I cannot lose any floor space in the truck. ![]() I'm still waiting on delivery of the parts, so no feedback on how it sounds yet unfortunately, but am excited about it. Lots of research here, youtube, plus personal experience from previous cars, and consulting with Bruce hushcaraudio here on the forums, has lead me to do a full speaker swap, 4 channel amp, and a small powered sub that will fit behind the rear seats, and some sound deadning. Custom-fit fiberglass enclosure with two 12' 12TW3-D8 subwoofers fits 2009-up Ford F-150 SuperCrew and SuperDuty Crew Cab trucks. I too just started this journey with a similar thought of nothing to crazy. ![]()
